Version history

Every version of this policy we have published, newest first, with what changed and when it took effect. Older versions are kept unchanged — each one is fingerprinted, and the build fails if a published version is edited.

    The scope changes, because the business does. Comriq no longer sells company setup, compliance, tax, accounting or registrations, so the KYC and filing paragraphs that described that work are gone — we do not collect identity documents to file with an authority any more, and a notice that said we did would be describing collection that is not happening. What replaces them is what we do collect now: an early-access sign-up for Stay, Campus or People (name, organisation, size, a work email or WhatsApp number, and the moment you ticked the box), and the admin and client accounts that remain. The eight-year engagement retention stays for records already created, because s.128 of the Companies Act binds us whatever we stop selling. Processors, transfers, the Grievance Officer and the Data Protection Board route are unchanged.

    Data requests move to privacy@comriq.com, separate from the support queue, because a request starts a 30-day clock. Adds the Grievance Officer and the 48-hour/one-month commitment, the route to the Data Protection Board, a table naming where each processor physically holds data (Postmark is the one outside India), and a pointer to the full retention schedule. The paragraph saying our data-protection documentation was incomplete is narrowed to what is still true: the documents now exist, and counsel has not yet read them. No new collection, no new purpose, no new processor.
